Academic and Co- Curricular Activities
The College holds terminal test examination in regular intervals (which is compulsory for all students). Besides, the departments also hold regular weekly test.
The College publishes a wall magazine “Dukmukali”, three editions per year and also publishes a monthly newspaper “Amar Khoj” and an annual newsletter. Besides it, departmental wall magazines “Alok” (Education), “Jugantor Jiwan” (Sociology) and “Episteme” (Science) are published yearly.
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) has been set up in view to trigger action plane for quality evaluation, quality sustenance and quality up gradation of the institution. The cell has been making an effort to motivate and guide the students, teachers, non-teaching staff of the college in order to achieve quality excellence.
The College has set up a Entrepreneurship Development cell to promote entrepreneurial mind-set and culture among the students.
NCC is a national organization inculcating a spirit of courage, adventurer among the youths. It enhances confidence and leadership qualities in cadets and thereby assisting in the nation building process. With this view in mind the Lahowal College has a NCC unit where interested students can apply for the cadets. It is important that a separate form duly signed and no objection from guardian should be submitted to the concerning department in due time. After their joining, all the cadets must follow the rules and regulation imposed by the concerned department.
The College has National Service Scheme where teachers guide the students about the value of discipline, social consciousness and dignity of labour. Besides it, NSS arrange some programmes inside and outside the college for social awareness.
The College has a Blood Donation Cell where students as well as teachers are involved in offering humanitarian service to the society through the “Voluntary Blood Donation Cell”.
The College has set up a “Women Cell”, aiming at working on several issues related with women health and nutrition, environment as well as women rights.
The College has setup the Health and Sanitation Club with a view to achieve the goal of good health and to bring about social transformation by empowering people through health and hygiene education. The club organizes the health and sanitation campaign.
Further the college has been taking various steps in order to achieve the goal of clean and green state in general and the local area s in particular under “Swachh Bharat Mission”.
